Islamabad has launched a strong diplomatic protest in Ottawa in response to Canada's "irresponsible and non-diplomatic" comments on the recent political turmoil in Pakistan. Pakistan's High Commission of Canada was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday to make a strong inquiry, according to
sources.
"Diplomats are said to be very irresponsible, as a recent statement by Canadian House of Representatives Tom Kumiek to Pakistan violates diplomatic norms," sources said.
In a statement at the Speaker of the House of Commons, Tom Kumiek, a member of the Conservative Party of Canada, allegedly attempted to drag Pakistan's security agencies into political instability.
Initially, it is unknown who contacted the Canadian legislature and informed them about the political situation in Pakistan.
Tom Kumiek is a Canadian member of the House of Representatives Calgary Shepherd. He is a member of the Treasury and Foreign Affairs Commission and a former leader of the 43rd Canadian Parliament's National Conservative Faction.
He has been accused of campaigning for anti-state groups.
Earlier this month he participated in a march organized for the rights of the Sindhis. According to www.pakstrategic.com, Tom is promoting an Indian-backed terrorist group in Sindh, Pakistan, along with Tarikfata, who has been accused of slaughtering Pakistan around the world.
